What is this site?
IsCanvaDown.com is an independent, real-time status monitoring tool for Canva. We check Canva's official status page every 60 seconds and display the results in a simple, fast-loading format so you can instantly see whether Canva is experiencing an outage.
Why does this site exist?
When Canva goes down, the first thing millions of users do is search "is Canva down." We built this site to provide an instant, clear answer — no clutter, no ads, just the status. Canva's own status page (canvastatus.com) provides the underlying data, but it can be slow to load and hard to parse during an actual outage when traffic spikes.
How does it work?
The site is a server-rendered application that fetches data from Canva's public Statuspage.io API. Status is cached in memory and refreshed every 60 seconds. The page you see is rendered on the server for instant load times and works entirely without JavaScript. A lightweight client-side script polls for updates every 30 seconds so you see changes without refreshing the page.
